What happens in a treatment?
A short assessment of your condition and history will be taken. Then just lay on a treatment couch - on your back or on your side - lightly clothed. If need be, you may be seated in a chair.
Relax.
A series of 'moves' will be done using fingers or thumbs on specific area(s) of your body, depending on your assessment. After just a few moves there will be a break of a couple of minutes for your body to absorb the information. This will be repeated until enough has been accomplished. You should feel more relaxed.
You may notice some or all of the following...
*some immediate improvement in comfort, mobility or range of movement
*a little tiredness or good sleep that night
*some stiffness or soreness for a short period the following day
*gradual improvement of the problem(s) over the next few days
Other hands-on therapies and hot or cold treatments should be avoided and exercises or stretches may or may not be advised.
If improvement ceases after 5 days, another treatment is needed within the next week.

The Bowen technique has also been tried by some of those who have not previously received a satisfactory result from various other treatments, including physiotherpay, medicinal and surgical treatment. Often a very surprising, positive outcome has been witnessed.
Bowen therapy is not a miracle cure and should not replace medical advice. However, the number of positive results seen, often in a comparatively short period of time, should not be ignored...........
