Some Case Summaries...
Back Pain
Male in his late 40's had suffered with lower back stiffness for over 10 years which was sometimes very painful. He had tried physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment and sports massage, some of which helped a little.
He noticed some immediate relief after just 1 Bowen treatment, feeling much more energetic and "brighter". Total improvement ("not even a twinge") came after just 4 Bowen treatments.
Migraines
A male Senior Manager suffered from regular, intense headaches and migraines, accompanied by neck and shoulder tension brought on by pressure of work. He has not suffered a headache or migraine since his very first Bowen treatment. The physical tension also disappeared over the course of treatments.
Shoulder (Rotator Cuff)
Female in her early 30's came to see me with a painful left shoulder and restricted movement following a sporting injury about 3 years ago. She had seen a sports physiotherapist, with very little change to her condition. A vast improvement and a return to some sport was achieved following just 3 Bowen sessions. A complete recovery with full return to sport was achieved after 6 treatments.
Stroke
Male in his 60's had suffered a stroke a few years previously. Some of his main symptoms included back ache, some stiffness and loss of mobility on one side of the body and inability to urinate properly. After 1 Bowen session, urination returned to normal. After 2 treatments, his back ache had gone with some limbs feeling more relaxed. He sometimes returns to me for a "top-up".
Neck
Female in her early 30's had chronic neck pain and stiffness with occassional rotation/tilt to one side. For 5 years, she had sought help from an osteopath, chiropractor, cranial massage, sports massage and a specialist consultant, all to no avail. She did not want surgery. Her condition, however, was "much better" after 2 Bowen treatments, with continued improvement over the following sessions.
Various
Female in her 40's came to me with long-term sciatica, back pain, neck and shoulder problems and migraines. I suspected all these symtoms were due to 1 problem area of the body. She had been receiving McTimoney chiropractic treatment every 6 months, which had helped a little.
Her sciatic and back pain lessened after just 1 treatment and the range of movement in the neck and shoulders had improved. 3 sessions later, all the symtoms had gone and she was feeling "better than I have in years" with no migraines.
